Ballet
This elegant dance style is hundreds of years old and is the foundation for all dance styles. Ballet teaches us discipline, structure, grace, flexibility, musicality, community and much more! We teach both Cecchetti and Vaganova methods.
Student
- Level 1 (Ages 2-3): This is a fun class where we use our imagination to create movement. We focus on basic motor skills and music rhythm, which is based in ballet. A legal guardian may be asked to join dancer in class.
- Level 2 (Ages 4-5): Using our imagination, we start to build the foundation of basic ballet positions. We learn ballet walks, jumps, turns, leaps, and dances.
- Level 3 (Ages 5-6): We build upon our basic ballet positions at this level. We continue to learn more ballet steps, expressive movement, and proper body placement.
- Level 4 (Ages 6-7): At this level, we begin introducing technique at the barre. We learn simple fun combinations that build strength and flexibility.
- Level 5 (Ages 8-9): This upper level focuses on proper ballet technique, body and arm placement, and more complex dance combinations.
- Level 6 (Ages 10-11): This class is designed for ballet students who want to continue to the higher levels of ballet. We explore artistry and expression to further develop the student's technique.
- Level 7 (Ages 12+): Students in this level must meet all requirements to pass ballet level 6. At this level we hone students’ technique and steps and learn more advanced ways to combine steps.
- Level 8 (Instructor placement): Our highest level of ballet. Students must meet all requirements in ballet 7 to proceed to this level.

- Beginner: This beautiful foundational class will help you on your way to learn basic ballet steps and combinations. Dancers have the opportunity to perform in the studio’s showcase.

Pre-pointe/Pointe
Pre-Pointe trains you to prepare your feet, ankles, legs, and body for Pointe shoes (a special shoe that enables the dancer to dance on the tops of the toes).
Student/Adult
- All: Students must be enrolled in Ballet 7 to attend. This class is designed to help serious ballet students work towards pointe shoes. We learn how to properly build strength in the feet, ankles, legs, and body to safely go onto Pointe. If there is enough demand, an adult-only class will be made available. Otherwise, adults can take the class with students.
Jazz
Fun, energetic, and powerful, Jazz is a dynamic style of dance. It was originally a dance style from Africa before it came to America, where it started to evolve along with the popularity of brass bands. Dance legends such as Jake Cole, Jerome Robbins, and Bob Fosse took jazz and made their own technique that reflects in our Broadway shows and choreography today.
